While designing my very first collection, I looked to strong, independent women of the 70's for inspiration. Unequivocally, Lauren Hutton was one of the most iconic women of the time and became my Solara Collection's muse.
Lauren Hutton's style in the 1970s became empowering and embodied carefree confidence. With her radiant golden skin and breezy wardrobe, she attained an easy elegance that captures the American spirit. Hutton was known as the "fresh American face of fashion", and today, nearing 80 years old continues to stand as a beacon of raw beauty, sophistication, and talent both in front of and behind the camera.
She has graced the cover of Vogue magazine more than any other model in history, and her work with iconic brands like Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, and Versace cemented her status as a supermodel. In recent years, she has also become a successful businesswoman, launching her own line of cosmetics called Lauren Hutton Good Stuff.
No matter what she does or where she goes, Lauren Hutton always manages to radiate effortless cool - a quality that has made her one of the most iconic women of all time.
