For as long as I can remember, I’ve dreamed of finding a way to combine my love of jewelry with a deeper, more meaningful purpose. This year, I set out to make that dream a reality by integrating more philanthropic efforts into my business. Today, I’m incredibly proud and honored to finally share what I’ve been working on behind the scenes for the past several months—a special project that holds a deep connection to my heart and begins right here in our local community.

This journey started with my dear friend, Sara Brutocao, and her son, Everett. In May 2021, after years of unanswered questions about why he was no longer thriving like other children his age, Everett was diagnosed with Niemann-Pick Type C (NPC), a rare and devastating genetic disease. NPC attacks the body’s neurological function and critical organs, leading to seizures and the gradual loss of mobility and speech. It’s a heartbreaking diagnosis, as there is currently no cure for NPC, and time is running out for Everett and others battling this disease.

But despite the challenges, Everett’s spirit shines brightly. He loves going to school, going on rides on his new bike, listening to Neil Diamond, watching movies, and spending time with his large, loving family—especially his many cousins. He has a radiant smile and an infectious laugh, and his family pours all their energy into making each moment count, ensuring Everett feels happy and loved.

Witnessing their journey inspired me to act. I knew I wanted to create something special that would not only raise awareness about NPC but also support Everett and others like him.
